1. How does the iPhoto Cleanup module work?

iPhoto Cleanup looks through your iPhoto library to locate unneeded original copies of images kept by iPhoto after you crop, resize, rotate, or otherwise edit your photos. These copies are hidden, but they significantly increase library size.

Initially, you can quickly remove such files using the "Clean" button in the Automatic Cleanup module. At this point CleanMyMac removes only files that are completely safe to get rid of.

Otherwise, you can go to the iPhoto Cleanup module and manually review all the hidden copies of the images CleanMyMac 2 has found. The app groups images by their modifiers and allows you to remove unwanted originals. You can deselect individual files or hold down the mouse button and drag over multiple items to deselect them from deletion. If you don't like the idea of reviewing every single picture, you can deselect an entire category.

Currently iPhoto Cleanup works only with iPhoto '11 (version 9+).
