How do I add more languages to the "Languages to keep list" in CleanMyMac Preferences?

The list of Languages in CleanMyMac Preferences is taken from the Mac OS System Preferences. Just go to the language settings in System Preferences, and add the required languages there. They will appear in CleanMyMac as well, and you can set these languages to be kept by the application.

After scanning with CleanMyMac one of my applications stopped working. What now?

This problem is very rare, but it might happen. In this case please reinstall the application you had problems with and add it to the Ignore List of CleanMyMac. If you want to exclude an application from the scanning and cleaning process, you should also add it to the Ignore List. Here's how:
- Open CleanMyMac and click on the Universal Binaries module.
- Click the small 'i' button in the lower right corner.
- Click the 'Ignore List' button in the drawer that appears and use the "+" or "-" buttons to add or remove an application. Alternatively, you can just drag and drop the application onto the 'Ignore List' button.

Can you explain what does CleanMyMac actually clean?

CleanMyMac will clean only files you don't really need and those that just sit there, occupying valuable space. For example: logs from previous system activities, language files, leftovers from uninstalled applications and so on. To view a description of every element that CleanMyMac will clean please refer to the User Guide of CleanMyMac. The Scanning and Cleaning section has all the detailed info.
