We are looking for an experienced and mature Head of Infrastructure who will take on the leadership of MacPaw`s Site Reliability Service Team. The team ensures that the infrastructure meets the business needs of all products by providing expert services to other teams. Another goal for you will be overseeing the SRE function to enhance the efficiency and growth of SRE expertise across the company's technological strategy.

You will work closely with the CTO as your direct manager. This role will not include technical tasks and will be focused mainly on high-level problems, such as technological strategy, team management, budget management, etc.

In this role, you will:
  • Oversee the reliability and performance of critical systems, ensuring they meet the agreed-upon SLOs and are resilient to failure.
  • Participate in new platform design and implementation
  • Drive efficient operational work of a team: priorities and planning, manage on-call rotation,  lead incidents managements and postmortems.
  • Drive continual improvements in SRE Service by monitoring new trends and introducing new practices, approaches, and tools. Improve the existing ones to ensure the service's effectiveness and long-term strategic development.
  • Lead and build DevOps culture in engineering organization.
  • Together with other managers of engineering directions, participate in creating a technological strategy. Lead creation of SRE strategy and goals.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure systems are secure, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Provide transparency on reliability metrics and communicate the status of system performance and incident management to leadership and stakeholders.
  • SRE Team management: build and improve the organizational design, hiring, training, development and salary review, dismissal, and others aligned with company practices and policies

Skills you’ll need to bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership roles in mature teams of at least 10 people.
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive disposition.
  • Leadership, change and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in budgeting and cost optimization.
  • Proven experience with GCP, Kubernetes
  • Experience with Github, CI/CD.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-code approach.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages.
  • Upper Intermediate English (speaking and writing proficiency).
