AI Apps: Product-Specific Terms of Service

These AI Apps: Product-Specific Terms of Service ("Product-Specific Terms") supplement the main AI Apps Terms of Service (collectively, "Terms"). These Product-Specific Terms contain provisions relating to several different Software applications — only those provisions that relate to the specific Software you are using apply to you.

The AI Apps Terms of Service apply to your use of the Software except as modified or supplemented by the applicable provisions of these Product-Specific Terms. In the event of any conflict or discrepancy between the AI App Terms of Service and these Product-Specific Terms, these Product-Specific Terms shall prevail to the extent of such conflict.

Search for and Use of Images from the Internet. The Software may incorporate AI Features that enable You to search for images and use them in Your projects. This AI Feature works as follows: You provide an Input describing the image You wish to find, and the AI Model searches the databases of connected third-party services and returns matching results as Output. A list of supported third-party services is available here. Each image in the Output will be accompanied by information about the license applicable to that image and its source.

While You access images through the Software, You are solely and exclusively responsible for ensuring Your use of any such image complies with the applicable license terms. We strongly encourage You to review the applicable license terms before using any image provided as Output. License terms are generally available at the source from which the image originates.

You acknowledge that MacPaw does not verify, monitor, or guarantee the accuracy of the license information associated with any image, and that license terms may change without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MacPaw disclaims all liability arising out of or in connection with Your use of any image accessed through this AI Feature. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MacPaw and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or relating to Your use of any such image or Your failure to comply with applicable license terms.

Generation of Images Using AI Models. The Software may incorporate AI Features that enable You to generate images for Your projects using AI Models. This AI Feature works as follows: You provide an Input describing the image You wish to generate, and the AI Model produces an Output — an image created on the basis of Your Input.

You acknowledge that You are solely responsible for the Inputs You submit and for ensuring that any Output You use complies with the Terms, applicable law, and the rights of third parties. MacPaw does not review Inputs or Outputs for compliance with third-party rights and disclaims all liability arising out of or in connection with the Inputs You submit or Your use of any generated Output.

When using the image generation feature, You agree not to submit Inputs or prompts that violate AI Acceptable Use Policy.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TERMS: ImageWiz

Generation of Images Using AI Models. The Software may incorporate AI Features that enable You to generate images using AI Models. This AI Feature works as follows: You provide an Input describing the image You wish to generate, and the AI Model produces an Output — an image created on the basis of Your Input.

You acknowledge that You are solely responsible for the Inputs You submit and for ensuring that any Output You use complies with the Terms, applicable law, AI Model Provider’s acceptable use policies, and the rights of third parties. MacPaw does not review Inputs or Outputs for compliance and disclaims all liability arising out of or in connection with the Inputs You submit or Your use of any generated Output.

When using the image generation feature, You agree not to submit Inputs or prompts that violate AI Acceptable Use Policy.

User-Uploaded Images. Certain features of the Software may enable you to upload images as inputs for processing, editing, or other purposes. By uploading an image, you represent and warrant that:

you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions required to upload and use such image within the Software;
your upload and use of the image does not and will not infringe any third-party rights, including but not limited to copyright, design rights, trade mark rights, personality or image rights, or privacy rights; and
your use of the image complies with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into the Terms by reference.

You acknowledge that we do not verify ownership or licensing of user-uploaded images and that you bear sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with the above warranties. If you are unsure whether you have the right to upload a particular image, you should refrain from doing so.

Community Gallery. The Software includes a community gallery feature (the "Gallery") where users may choose to publish their generated images and associated prompts (together, "Gallery Content") for viewing and use by other users. The Gallery is a public-facing feature and any content you publish there will be accessible to all users of the Software.

All Gallery Content is user-generated content. We do not review, endorse, or take responsibility for any Gallery Content published by users. We expressly disclaim all liability arising from or relating to Gallery Content, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

By publishing Gallery Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, distribute, and moderate your Gallery Content solely for the purposes of operating and improving the Gallery and the Software. This licence continues for as long as your Gallery Content remains published and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for technical processes such as cache clearance and backup deletion.

When publishing Gallery Content, your prompt will be displayed alongside your image. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your prompt does not contain:

any personal data relating to yourself or any third party, including names, contact details, identification numbers, or any other information that could identify a natural person;
any confidential or proprietary information; or
any content that violates our Acceptable Use Policy.

We strongly recommend reviewing your prompt before publishing to ensure it does not contain any sensitive information, as published prompts will be publicly visible and we cannot guarantee their removal from third-party caches or archives following deletion.

By publishing Gallery Content, you grant all other users of the Product a licence to use, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and build upon your Gallery Content under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.

This means other users may use your Gallery Content, including for commercial purposes, provided they give appropriate credit. You understand and agree that this licence is irrevocable once granted, and that we cannot control or restrict how other users use Gallery Content in accordance with its terms.

By publishing Gallery Content, you represent and warrant that:

you own or have obtained all rights necessary to publish the image and prompt and to grant the licences set out in this section;
the Gallery Content does not infringe any third-party rights, including copyright, design rights, trade mark rights, personality or image rights, or privacy rights;
the Gallery Content complies with our Acceptable Use Policy; and
the prompt does not contain any personal data or sensitive information as described above.

Content Reporting and Takedown. We reserve the right to remove any Gallery Content at our sole discretion, without prior notice, where we reasonably believe it violates the Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. Users may report Gallery Content they believe to be infringing or otherwise inappropriate.

If you believe any Gallery Content infringes your rights, violates applicable law, or breaches these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, you may report it by:

using the "Report" function available alongside each Gallery item; or
emailing us at [email protected] or [email protected].

Your report should identify the content in question, explain the grounds for your report, and confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Where you are reporting an intellectual property infringement, please confirm that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act on their behalf.

We will review all reports and take such action as we consider appropriate, which may include removing the reported content, restricting access to it, or taking no action where we determine the report to be unfounded. We will notify you of the outcome within 30 business days, unless a shorter timeframe is required under applicable law.

We are not obligated to remove content solely on the basis of a report.

If your Gallery Content has been removed following a report and you believe this was a mistake, you may contact us at [email protected] or [email protected] to request a review. We will assess your request and may restore the content at our discretion.

Users who repeatedly publish content found to violate these Terms or third-party rights may have their access to the Gallery or the Software suspended or terminated.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TERMS: BeeRoll

Generation of Audiovisual Content Using AI Models. The Software may incorporate AI Features that enable You to generate audiovisual content (video, audio, etc.) using AI Models. This AI Feature works as follows: You provide an Input describing the video shot You wish to generate, and the AI Model produces an Output on the basis of Your Input.

When using the content generation feature, You agree not to submit Inputs or prompts that violate AI Acceptable Use Policy.

User-Uploaded Content. Certain features of the Software may allow you to upload content — including images, video, audio, text, and other materials. By uploading any content, you represent and warrant that:

you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions required to upload and use such content within the Software;
your upload and use of the content does not and will not infringe any third-party rights, including but not limited to copyright, design rights, trade mark rights, personality or image rights, or privacy rights; and
your use of the content complies with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into the Terms by reference.

You acknowledge that we do not verify ownership or licensing of user-uploaded content and that you bear sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with the above warranties. If you are unsure whether you have the right to upload particular content, you should refrain from doing so.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TERMS: Refolder

Effective Date: 27 October 2026

Software Description. Refolder is a macOS application that helps users organize local folders by offering flexible organization methods, allowing users to preview and confirm file moves, rename files or folders using rules, and intelligently group content using metadata, filename patterns, or keyword logic. The Software includes, but is not limited to, the following features:

Organize — Scan a folder, pick an organization strategy, preview the proposed file moves, and confirm. Full undo is available immediately after each operation.
Watch — Add a folder to the watch list and the Software monitors it for new files. With auto-organize enabled, new files are sorted automatically the moment they appear.
Rename — Receive AI-powered suggestions (Rename strategy proposals), review them, and apply the new names to your files or folders.

By using Refolder you confirm that You have the legal right to access and modify all files you process with our Software.

Undo and Data Safety. The Software provides an undo feature for file organization operations. However, the availability and completeness of the undo functionality may be limited depending on subsequent changes to the file system (e.g., if files are renamed, moved, or deleted by other applications after the Software has organized them). We strongly recommend that You review the changes made by Refolder before confirming any file operations and maintain regular backups of Your data independently of the Software.

Watch Feature. By enabling the Watch feature with auto-organize, You acknowledge that: (a) files will be moved automatically without per-file confirmation; (b) the Software will operate only while the application is running; and (c) You are responsible for reviewing the Software’s activity log to verify that automated operations are performing as expected.

File Operations Disclaimer. While the Software includes preview and undo functionality, MacPaw shall not be held liable for any data loss, file corruption, or unintended file moves resulting from the use of the Software, including but not limited to operations performed by the automatic Watch feature or AI-assisted file organization. You are solely responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of Your files.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TERMS: Vexel

Effective Date: 28 October 2026

Software Description. Vexel is a macOS app that uses AI Features to turn text and other material you provide into speech and into audio podcasts in which one or more AI voices speak (the “Podcast Feature”).

Preset Voices Only. Voice Features in Vexel offer a selection of preset voices from the providers listed on the Third-Party Integrations page, including cloud voices, On-Device Models or system voices. You cannot upload, record or create custom or cloned voices. Available voices depend on your device, region and the availability of the relevant provider.

Creating Podcasts Using AI Models. The Podcast Feature lets you submit an Input, which may include text, a document or a link, and receive an Output consisting of a script and an audio recording. The script is generated by an AI Model and the audio by the Voice Features. You are solely and exclusively responsible for your Inputs and the Outputs. MacPaw does not review Inputs or Outputs. The AI Acceptable Use Policy applies.

Source Material. If you provide a link, document or other third-party material as Input, you confirm that you have the right to use it for that purpose and to publish or distribute the resulting Output. You are solely and exclusively responsible for complying with the terms, licences and any access restrictions that apply to that material. MacPaw does not review source material, and the Output may reproduce, summarise or transform it.

Accuracy of Podcasts. Scripts and podcasts are generated by AI and may contain errors, invented statements, inaccurate quotations or incorrect attributions, even when they sound authoritative. You must review the script and audio before you publish or share them. Do not treat a podcast as professional, legal, medical or financial advice.

Real People. You must not use the Podcast Feature to create scripts, interviews or conversations that attribute statements or actions to a real, identifiable person that they did not make or take, in a way that is likely to mislead others. See the AI Acceptable Use Policy.

Studio Voices (On-Device). Vexel offers an optional On-Device Model for voice generation (“Studio Voices”). To use Studio Voices you must first download the model of the providers listed on the Third-Party Integrations page; the provider may receive technical information such as your IP address. Once the model is downloaded, speech is generated on your Mac, and the text you convert is not sent to MacPaw or any third party. Studio Voices require sufficient storage space and a supported device, and the quality of Output may differ from cloud voices. MacPaw may update, replace or withdraw the model at any time.

Publishing and Distribution. If you publish or distribute a podcast created with Vexel, you are responsible for complying with the rules of the platform on which you publish it, including any requirement to disclose that the podcast or its voices are AI-generated. MacPaw does not guarantee that a platform will accept or continue to host your podcast. You must not remove, alter or circumvent any AI marking applied to the Output, and you must not present AI-generated voices as human recordings.
