ClearVPN won its third Global InfoSec Award

We're excited and proud to announce that ClearVPN by MacPaw has won the "Editor's Choice VPN" award from Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM), the industry’s leading electronic information security magazine. ClearVPN has become a winner for the third year in a row.

About the Global InfoSec Award

The 12th Annual Global InfoSec Awards was held during the RSA Conference 2024, May 6. Cyber Defense Magazine honors InfoSec innovators from around the Globe: any startup, early stage, later stage, or public companies in the Information Security (InfoSec) space who believe they have a unique and compelling value proposition for their product or service.

Why ClearVPN is the VPN you need

ClearVPN is a hassle-free VPN solution for users who want to expand and protect their online experience.

Unlike other VPN apps, ClearVPN focuses on user experience and users' actual needs.

With just one tap, you can upgrade your online journey hassle-free, while ClearVPN ensures all your traffic remains private and secure. The app requires no extra tech skills. Its design is simple and engagingly beautiful.

ClearVPN has a strict no-log policy, which means the app doesn’t collect any information related to the activity of its users: no IP addresses, browsing history, DNS queries, etc.

To eliminate any security vulnerabilities and achieve a high-speed connection, ClearVPN uses multiple protocols. Depending on regional limitations, ClearVPN automatically chooses one of the above protocols to optimize the connection while keeping it protected and private. Additionally, ClearVPN has a Kill Switch feature.

“ClearVPN embodies three major features we judges look for to become winners: understanding tomorrow’s threats today, providing a cost-effective solution, and innovating in unexpected ways that can help mitigate cyber risk and get one step ahead of the next breach,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine.

MacPaw and cybersecurity awareness

In 2021, MacPaw became a champion of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

We joined the "Champions Program" by the National Cyber Security Alliance. The initiative took off in 2004, intending to unite the world in a fight against cyber threats. Each October, numerous parties share ways individuals and organizations can stay safer and more secure online.

Last year's topic was "Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.” We should be mindful of our online actions and implement stronger security practices. And we couldn't agree more! At MacPaw, we nurture an understanding of individual responsibility for our collective safety and create a more secure cyber environment through our products.

ClearVPN on the cyber front of the Russo-Ukrainian War

After the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, MacPaw decided to make ClearVPN free for Ukrainians. Users could perform DDoS attacks on russian governmental sites and, most importantly, privately access content blocked on the temporarily occupied territories.

ClearVPN strives to help everyone oppressed by online censorship and propaganda. The Russo-Ukrainian war, once again, proved how critical access to the internet is. That’s why we launched a special Partner program. If you are a non-profit organization, NGO, or media/journalist who covers the war in Ukraine and fights against pro-russian propaganda — ClearVPN is here to help.

Congratulations to the ClearVPN Team and everyone involved in making the app secure, trustful, and beautiful. Finally, a heartfelt thanks to our devoted users ❤️
