(Updated: )This article is for reference only. CleanMyMac Business is discontinued and will be sunset on July 14, 2026.
To edit the settings of an automation task — Smart Scan, Malware Scan, or Application Updates — configured within your CleanMyMac Business Organization:
Sign in to your Owner or Admin account in the Admin Dashboard, then go to Automation.
In a task widget, for example, in Smart Scan, click Edit.
Alternatively, you can go to the task details and click Edit there in the upper-right corner.
In the task settings, change the following as needed:
- Name of the task
- Date and time to force task execution at
- Number of reminders shown to users before the task is forced
- Types of system junk to clean during the task execution
NoteYou can't edit the task start date and time, and the repeat interval — to change these, you have to create and configure the task anew.
Click Save Automation to save changes and close the task settings — updated settings will take effect after the current task cycle finishes.
Click Close at the bottom or the Close icon (
) at the top, or press the Esc (Escape) key to discard changes and close the task settings.
