If you don’t have multiple licenses, you can only activate one copy of CleanMyMac Classic with your activation number. If you wish to purchase multiple license, see our answer below. In order to activate your copy on a different Mac, deactivate your copy of CleanMyMac Classic by uninstalling CleanMyMac Classic on your current Mac. CleanMyMac Classic is designed to clean up only the files that are not vital to your system. If you would like to know more about these types of files, please refer to this Knowledge Base article.
However, CleanMyMac Classic only works on Mac operating systems 10.4-10.8, which Apple does not support anymore. The systems also do not receive updates anymore. As a result, CleanMyMac Classic and other apps that work on that systems may have problems. See this article for details.
Yes, you can download it here.
This is most likely related to the fact that the Automatic Application Uninstaller feature is enabled on your version of CleanMyMac Classic. This feature makes CleanMyMac Classic launch automatically when you trash any application or if there is already an app file located in the Trash when you try to remove other files.
This feature can be easily disabled in the Advanced tab of the CleanMyMac Classic Preferences. Just uncheck the ‘Enable Automatic Application Uninstaller’ checkbox.
This automatic popup behavior could also be related to the Automatic Device Cleanup feature or Trash Status Monitor. Both of these features can be found and disabled in CleanMyMac Classic’s Preferences.
This problem occurs very rarely. In the event that your app becomes corrupted due to CleanMyMac Classic, please refer to our article located in the Knowledge Base titled, “My Application Became Corrupted After Cleaning My Mac with CleanMyMac Classic.”
The languages that are kept during cleaning, located in CleanMyMac Classic’s Preferences, are selected based on your Mac OS X System Preferences. Just go to the language settings in your System Preferences and add the languages you wish to keep there. They will then appear in the CleanMyMac Classic Preferences as well and you will be able to set these languages to be kept by the application.
The free Demo version of CleanMyMac Classic is able to scan your Mac entirely but only allows you to clean 500 MB of unnecessary files.
