CleanMyMac Classic knows everything about your Mac system. It knows what files are safe to clean up and what files should remain untouched. You can just click Scan and and then Remove to clean up your entire Mac.
The easiest way to delete CleanMyMac Classic from your Mac is to drag the CleanMyMac Classic icon from the Applications folder to the Trash.
However, as recommended for any other Mac software, it is also recommended that you uninstall CleanMyMac Classic with CleanmyMac Classic itself. Just select the Uninstall Applications module in CleanMyMac Classic and then drag the CleanMyMac Classicapplication file from the Applications folder to the main window of the program. Then click Uninstall.
If this doesn’t work for you, please follow these steps to uninstall CleanMyMac Classic manually:
- Drag CleanMyMac Classic icon from the Applications folder to the Trash.
- Drag the CleanMyMac Classic folder located in the Application Support folder inside the Library folder in your home user folder to the Trash.
- Drag the CleanMyMac Classic folder located in the Application Support folder inside the Library folder on your System Drive to the Trash.
- Drag the com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.helperTool.plist, com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.volumeWatcher.plist, and com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.trashSizeWatcher.plist files from the LaunchAgents folder located in the Library folder in your Home user folder to the Trash.
- Drag the com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.plist file from the Preferences folder located in the Library folder inside your Home user folder to the Trash.
After doing this, your copy of CleanMyMac Classic will be completely uninstalled from your Mac.
