System settings and permissions for CleanMyMac X

To enjoy all features of CleanMyMac X without restrictions from macOS, you need to:

  • Grant full disk access to all components of CleanMyMac X.

Full disk access is a security permission that allows the apps you install on your Mac (like CleanMyMac X) to access files, macOS settings, and other apps on your computer. Giving full disk access to CleanMyMac X is easy and absolutely safe.

  • On macOS Ventura 13, allow all login items of CleanMyMac X.

Login items are service programs that launch automatically and perform small tasks for their 'main' app.

Apps often ask for non-system (private) permissions using alerts in the upper-right corner of your screen. For example, when you open CleanMyMac X for the first time, the app asks to allow its notifications. You just need to choose Allow or Don't Allow.

But settings and permissions for the entire system (such as full disk access and login items) may only be granted in System Settings on your Mac.
