At MacPaw, we craft software that makes everyday tech life simpler, cleaner, and more enjoyable. From globally loved products like CleanMyMac and Setapp to emerging cybersecurity tools like ClearVPN and Moonlock, we are building a product ecosystem that reaches millions of people worldwide.
We believe humans and technology can reach their greatest potential together. By fusing high engineering standards, thoughtful design, and practical AI, we rethink how people interact with their devices and shape the daily tech routines of the future.
Working at MacPaw means owning outcomes, not just tasks. We build for global scale from day one, giving you the trust, freedom, and room to experiment.
In our team, we challenge ideas directly, support each other genuinely, and build software that makes a meaningful difference — both in the tech world and beyond.
We're looking for a Head of Product Management to join the team behind MacPaw Platform and Setapp Marketplace — one of MacPaw's most complex and strategically important products.
MacPaw Platform is the technical layer powering the Setapp marketplace: an ecosystem that connects software vendors, end-users, and MacPaw's own products through a unified infrastructure. It handles everything from vendor onboarding and AI integrations to billing, subscriptions, and user activation — enabling apps to reach a unique audience they can't access anywhere else.
As Head of Product Management, you'll own product strategy across different focus areas — from AI gateway and vendor growth to marketplace discovery and reseller infrastructure. You'll define goals and success metrics for each direction, build dedicated roadmaps, and consolidate them into a single unified roadmap centered on the highest-impact initiatives. This is product leadership at scale, with a mandate to challenge assumptions, accelerate discovery, and keep every stakeholder aligned on where the platform is going and why.
If you're excited to shape the infrastructure that powers how thousands of users discover and buy software — and how vendors reach them — we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
Define goals and success metrics for each platform direction, and identify the most efficient path to achieving them.
Develop dedicated roadmaps per focus area, informed by business priorities, user and vendor feedback, and market shifts.
Consolidate these into a unified roadmap centered on the highest-impact initiatives.
Lead and support the product management team to accelerate goal achievement.
Partner with the development team to clearly articulate each initiative — its sources, hypotheses, and expected outcomes.
Keep stakeholders informed on the full state of the product — roadmap, goals, and outcomes — while turning their input into concrete actions.
Continuously challenge whether current strategies are still valid and propose data- and research-informed ideas.
Integrate AI tools into the product development workflow to accelerate discovery and execution.
Skills you'll need to bring:
5+ years of product management experience, including a leadership role (Head of Product or equivalent) in a product-driven company — ideally a marketplace, platform, or multi-sided B2B2C business
Strong team management skills — experience leading and developing a team of Product Managers.
Customer development — ability to work with both end users and vendor partners (B2B2C context).
AI product management — you actively use and build with AI, and know how to integrate it into product thinking and workflow.
Stakeholder management — comfortable navigating complex internal and external relationships.
UI/UX fluency — strong intuition for user experience, able to give meaningful product direction to designers.
Advanced English — comfortable communicating with international stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
As a plus:
Experience with B2B product management — working with vendor, partner, or enterprise customers.
Hands-on experience with marketplace or platform products (multi-sided, with both supply and demand sides).
macOS or desktop software product background.
Familiarity with billing, payments, or subscription infrastructure.
Steps may differ depending on the position, but this is our usual hiring process.
