We’re opening a Junior Technical Coordinator position to support our technical operations across events and internal projects. In this role, you’ll work with lighting, sound, video, and streaming systems in real-life setups while collaborating closely with an experienced Technical Administrator.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and test runs of lighting, sound, video, and live streaming equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Help with setup, preparation, and teardown of technical equipment for events, ensuring all connectivity and software requirements are met.
- Assist with hardware and software updates, as well as small-scale infrastructure improvements, following established technical guidelines and safety plans under the supervision of a Technical Administrator.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, usage logs, and technical documentation; escalate issues related to damaged or missing equipment.
- Support the procurement process by researching equipment options, collecting price estimates, and preparing purchase requests.
- Assist in coordination with internal teams, freelancers, and vendors to align technical setups with event requirements.
- Provide basic input for budget planning by collecting equipment data, usage insights, and cost estimates.
- Help ensure that planned purchases and technical improvements align with team goals and operational needs.
Skills you’ll need to bring:
- English proficiency at intermediate level or higher.
- Prior experience with event technologies or technical support is a plus.
- Basic understanding of lighting, sound, video, or streaming equipment or a strong willingness to learn.
- Technical curiosity and readiness to work hands-on with hardware and software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under guidance from more experienced colleagues.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
As a plus:
- Education or ongoing studies in audiovisual production, media technologies, technical production, sound engineering, film, or a related field.
- Basic experience with event setups, student projects, internships, volunteering, or freelance work involving technical equipment.
