For This Role

We're looking for a proactive and self-driven macOS/iOS Engineer to join the CleanMyMac team.

CleanMyMac is an all-in-one package to awesomize your Mac. It cleans megatons of junk and makes your computer run faster, just like it did on day one. It scans the entire macOS, removes junk and malware and frees gigabytes of space on your Mac.

This role is great for someone who’s curious, proactive, and has a product-focused mindset. You’ll be involved in shaping features from idea to implementation, so expect a fair bit of communication, questioning decisions (yours and others), and diving into new, sometimes unexpected topics. It’s a place where learning never really stops.

In this role, you will:
  • Maintain great quality of existing functionality for CleanMyMac users
  • Conduct research to understand issues of users and ways to fix them
  • Work closely with Product, Design, and Analytics teams to craft new features
  • Fixing user-critical bugs and providing support for our Customer Support team
  • Execute and support release-related processes
  • Improve and create internal tooling for effective development and support
  • Provide meaningful feedback in our code reviews and technical discussions

Skills you’ll need to bring:
  • 3+ years of macOS/iOS development experience with proven production operations.
  • Objective-C and Swift
  • Strong knowledge of essential macOS/iOS  frameworks (AppKit/UIKit, Cocoa/CocoaTouch, SwiftUI, etc)
  • Understanding of macOS/iOS system structure (bundles/packages, app bundle structure, important locations, sandboxing, agent/daemon, etc)
  • Understanding of macOS/iOS dependency management (SPM, frameworks)
  • Understanding of most popular architecture patterns like MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture.
  • AI-Assisted development concepts: prompt engineering, llm operation, context management,  cost efficiency, evaluations 
  • Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks
  • Intermediate or higher English proficiency (written and spoken)

As a plus:
  • Knowledge of advanced debugging tools and techniques
  • Understanding of System Design architectures 
  • Knowledge in  CI/CD, shell scripting, Azure Pipelines, Github Actions
  • Understanding of software delivery lifecycle and agentic loops
