Job Description Icon

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who genuinely enjoys bringing order to complex financial data, digging into standard interpretations, and building smooth reporting workflows across international entities.
The core of this role is group-level controlling, IFRS methodology, and audit management. Entity teams handle day-to-day accounting and operational closes, so your job is to set clear policies, verify entity submissions, and lead external audits. We also expect you to use AI tools in your daily work to draft policies, analyze contracts, and speed up routine tasks.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead group-level audit workstreams end-to-end, prepare audit-ready schedules, and partner directly with external auditors to resolve complex queries independently.
  • Evaluate non-routine or complex group transactions against IFRS standards, analyze judgmental areas, and document formal accounting conclusions.
  • Draft and update clear Group Accounting Policies and turn rigid standards into practical, step-by-step guidance for local finance teams.
  • Review and challenge monthly entity reporting submissions to spot policy discrepancies, ensure data integrity, and clear differences before group consolidation.
  • Identify control gaps across group reporting processes, design robust internal controls, and document them to support board and executive reporting readiness.
  • Leverage AI tools to speed up document reviews, policy drafting, and audit evidence analysis while keeping data usage responsible and compliant.

Skills you’ll need to bring:
  • 4+ years of accounting or finance experience in an international or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong technical IFRS expertise with the ability to reason directly from standards and navigate differences with local GAAPs.
  • Hands-on track record of leading group audits, driving auditor communications, and managing queries through to final sign-off.
  • Proven ability to design, write, and roll out practical group-level accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Solid background in group accounting controlling, reviewing multi-entity submissions, and maintaining overall balance sheet integrity.
  • Active experience using AI tools in daily work to improve speed and quality, from policy drafting to contract review.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong confidence working with ERP systems for consolidating and analyzing multi-entity data.
  • Advanced English and native Ukrainian to present financial data clearly to international stakeholders, board members, and external auditors.
  • Strong individual-contributor accountability, proactive problem-solving, and comfort operating through ambiguity.

As a plus:
  • Background in Big-4 / audit firm or hands-on financial statement preparation and close processes
  • Professional accounting qualification or active progress toward ACCA, DipIFR, CIPA, or CPA.
  • Practical experience in multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and FX accounting
  • Hands-on familiarity with Odoo or similar ERP systems, plus data automation skills like SQL or BigQuery.
