We are looking for a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to join our Setapp team — MacPaw’s curated platform that provides access to a premium ecosystem of vetted tools for macOS, iOS, and the web.
In this role, you will take full ownership of our email communication flow with a primary focus on driving user retention and improving trial-to-paid conversions for Setapp. You will work closely with content, design, and analytics teams, leveraging modern automation and AI tools to build data-driven lifecycle campaigns and optimize the user journey.
In this role, you will:
- Rebuild and optimize the trial-to-paid onboarding email chain to boost overall user activation and conversion rates.
- Analyze the user journey during the initial 7-day trial period to identify weak spots, eliminate flow gaps, and speed up the user's "aha moment".
- Build a daily habit of product usage by highlighting key features, setup steps, and available apps through automated onboarding communications.
- Launch automated lifecycle campaigns for user reactivation, subscription upsells, and retention of at-risk users.
- Automate manual trigger communications and shift one-off promotional campaigns into systemic automated flows.
- Identify optimization opportunities, enhance personalization, and implement AI-assisted workflows across email processes.
- Collaborate closely with the analytics team to cover all email marketing initiatives with tracking events and performance dashboards.
- Proactively challenge existing team processes, introduce fresh perspectives, and drive new strategic initiatives for the email channel.
Skills you’ll need to bring:
- 3+ years of hands-on email marketing experience with a strong focus on lifecycle, promotional, and automated trigger campaigns.
- Proven track record of improving trial-to-paid conversion rates and lifecycle metrics in product-led environments.
- High level of ownership and proactivity with a history of initiating improvements independently rather than just executing assigned tasks.
- Hands-on experience with email service providers (ESPs) and marketing automation platforms.
- Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to define required metrics, set clear goals, and work with analytics teams to build reporting dashboards.
- Proficiency in using AI tools for content generation, workflow automation, and process optimization in daily marketing operations.
- Systematic approach to campaign execution, hypothesis formulation, and continuous A/B testing.
- At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English and fluent Ukrainian.
As a plus:
- Prior experience with B2C SaaS or E-commerce subscription products.
- Experience running experimental content formats or testing new communication approaches.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with content writers, designers, and analytics teams.
