MacPaw is growing its Program Management function - and this is where you come in.
As a Project Manager in the Program Management team, you’ll report to the Program Manager and own execution of discrete projects within our company-level programs.
These programs sit at the intersection of software delivery and organizational effectiveness: improving how our product teams plan and operate, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and building the internal systems that keep MacPaw’s strategy moving.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to run a single product team. It’s for someone who understands how software teams work - and is just as comfortable driving a process rollout, improving a governance framework, or getting a company-wide OKR cycle over the finish line.
If you’re ready to turn strategic vision into tangible organizational impact, we’d love to have you on board.
In this role, you will:
- Drive and manage assigned projects to ensure they effectively support MacPaw`s mission and business goals.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure completion within defined limits and high-quality outcomes.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and relevant managers.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource plans to support project goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication across all project activities. Address potential conflicts.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation and contingency plans as needed.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to stakeholders and relevant leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, addressing concerns, providing status updates, and managing expectations.
- Manage project changes in scope, timelines, and resources by assessing impact, obtaining approval, and communicating accordingly.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with project sponsors and cross-functional teams to define requirements, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget, and timelines for new and ongoing initiatives.
- Process documentation and improvement proposal based on industry best practices, focusing on PDLC, SDLC, and the RACI matrix.
Skills you’ll need to bring:
- 5+ years of experience in project management in a software development or IT/operations environment.
- Experience working with Engineering, Product, Design, and/or Operations teams in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong project planning, prioritization, and coordination skills.
- Practical experience with PDLC/SDLC frameworks and project documentation.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar).
- Experience with risk management, change management, and status reporting using OKR/KPIs.
- Ability to create and maintain project plans, schedules, resource plans, and RACI matrices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (written and verbal).
- Solid conflict‑resolution, negotiation, and expectation management capabilities.
- Ability to analyze project data, derive insights, and make data‑informed decisions.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through.
