Diablo 4 quickly became one of Blizzard's biggest releases, bringing the iconic action RPG series into a massive open world filled with challenging dungeons, seasonal content, and cooperative gameplay. Can you play Diablo 4 on Mac?

Blizzard only released Diablo 4 for Windows, PlayStation, and Xbox. There isn't a macOS version, so you'll need to check out one of several workarounds.

    Not every solution is equally convenient. Here's a quick recommendation depending on your setup.

    • CrossOver — Best for most Mac users

    CrossOver supports both Intel and Apple silicon Macs, so it’s available to you regardless of your Mac model.

    What to expect: On newer Apple silicon Macs, such as M2, M3, and M4 models, Diablo 4 can deliver smooth gameplay at medium to high graphics settings. Older Macs may require lower settings for the best performance.

    Here's how to install Diablo 4 using CrossOver:

    However, Boot Camp isn't available on Apple silicon Macs, so this method only applies to older Intel models.

    What doesn't work?

    We should also mention that not every workaround is worth trying. These two methods are likely to end in frustration.

    • Parallels Desktop

    Although Parallels Desktop is excellent for running many Windows applications on a Mac, it isn't suitable for Diablo 4. The game requires DirectX 12, which Parallels doesn't fully support, so Diablo 4 won't run properly.

    • Xbox Cloud Gaming

    At the time of writing, Diablo 4 isn't available through Xbox Cloud Gaming, so you can't stream it directly from Microsoft's cloud service.
