Managing background services and login items

(Updated: )

To ensure continuous protection, Moonlock runs lightweight background services that activate upon startup. Yet, you stay in control of everything that happens in the background:

  • You can manage whether Moonlock launches at login by checking System Settings > Login Items under your macOS account.
  • Background processes like the Malware Scanner, VPN, or Network Inspector are optimized for performance and energy efficiency.

You can turn individual features on or off within the app’s settings if you want more granular control over what runs in the background.
