Required macOS permissions

In order to live up to its promise of ultimate Mac protection, Moonlock will request a few essential permissions during setup:

1. Security Extension
   Allows Moonlock to integrate deeply with macOS, enabling real-time protection against malware and system threats. The extension continuously monitors critical areas to detect and block harmful activity before it can cause damage.

2. Full Disk Access
   Gives Moonlock Protection permission to scan every part of your system, including hidden or restricted locations where malware often hides. This ensures comprehensive threat detection and complete system coverage.

3. Background Activity
   Lets Moonlock run quietly behind the scenes, maintaining constant protection without interrupting your workflow. Even when you’re not actively using the app, it continues to monitor your Mac and apply security safeguards in real time.

You’ll be guided to grant each permission during setup. If you skipped one, you can grant it later in your Mac’s Security and Privacy settings.
