No commitment is required — you can go back to the latest official CleanMyMac X version anytime.
Update to a beta version of CleanMyMac X
First, you need to turn on notifications about new beta versions:
- Open CleanMyMac X and choose CleanMyMac X > Preferences in the menu bar (upper-left corner of your screen).
- In the General tab, select “Offer to update to beta versions”.
Now, when a new beta version is released, you’ll receive a notification. To get that version, click the notification, then choose Install Update.
Go back to the latest official CleanMyMac X version
The easiest way is to use the self-uninstallation of CleanMyMac X beta and then get the latest live version. Do the following:
- Open CleanMyMac X and go to the Uninstaller module.
- Find and select CleanMyMac X from the list, then click Uninstall.
- After completing the uninstallation, download and install the latest official version.
- Activate CleanMyMac X using your subscription or license details.
If you no longer want to get notifications about new beta versions, do the following:
- Open CleanMyMac X and choose CleanMyMac X > Preferences in the menu bar (upper-left corner of your screen).
- In the General tab, deselect "Offer to update to beta versions".
