Review CPU-intensive apps
(Updated: )CPU-intensive apps are those consuming the most CPU capacity. Extensive consumption can lead to degraded performance of your Mac. CleanMyMac lets you identify, review, and close such apps to free up valuable CPU resources.
To view the most CPU-intensive apps:
Open the CleanMyMac Menu and click CPU.
The Top Consumers list at the bottom of the detailed menu shows app process names and their CPU capacity consumption. Apps taking over 20% of total CPU capacity are highlighted in yellow.
To close an app and free up resources, hover over it and click Quit.
The list updates every second, but when you hover over it, data stops updating, making it easier for you to close apps.
