Check CPU load
(Updated: )CleanMyMac provides tools to help you understand how much of your chip capacity is free and how much is used by system processes (those belonging to macOS) versus user processes (apps you open or the processes those apps launch).
This is shown using a detailed load chart in the CleanMyMac Menu. To see this chart, open the CleanMyMac Menu, then click the CPU monitor.
The red and blue rectangles on the right side of the graph show the current CPU load on your Mac (updated every second), while the curves display how the load has changed and continues changing over time.
The spikes on the chart usually don't indicate a problem—when you start any app, CPU consumption jumps and then quickly drops. However, if these spikes happen regularly and you're unsure of the cause, there might be unwanted apps or processes running. To identify them, scan your Mac with the Protection module or use the Applications module to review the installed apps.
