Turn real-time monitoring on or off
(Updated: )While you can turn real-time monitoring off, we recommend keeping it active for the highest level of safety. It uses minimal system resources and won't slow down your Mac.
In CleanMyMac Settings, go to the Protection tab.
Select or deselect the Enable Malware Monitor option to turn real-time monitoring on or off, respectively.
If real-time monitoring is off, you can also turn it back on directly from the CleanMyMac Menu:
Click Turn On in the Protection monitor.
Click the Protection monitor to open the detailed view, then click Turn On in Monitor.
