Set up ignore list
(Updated: )The CleanMyMac Business desktop app lets you manage files, folders, and apps that are ignored during the Smart Care and app update scans. To manage the ignore list:
Click the app icon in the menu bar.
In the upper-right corner of the app window, click the gear icon (
) and choose Settings.
The app settings open.
Go to the Ignored Items tab, where you can add or remove items to or from the ignore list, or clear all ignored items for a specific module at once:
App Updater—manage apps ignored during the scan for updates.
Continuous Smart Care—manage files and folders ignored during the continuous background Smart Care scan and the Smart Scan automation task.
Any changes you make to the ignored items take effect on the next respective scan.
Add items
To add items to the ignore list:
In the left pane, click a module.
In the lower-right corner of the right pane, click the Add button (
).
In the dialog that opens, select files and folders to add to the list, then click Add.
The items you selected appear in the ignore list of the selected module.
Remove items
To remove items from the ignore list one by one:
In the left pane, click a module.
Select an item to remove from the list.
In the lower-right corner of the right pane, click the Remove button (
).
The selected items are removed from the ignore list of the selected module.
Clear items
To clear all ignored items at once—that is, to reset the ignore list—for a specific module:
In the left pane, click a module.
Below the list of modules, click the Options button (
) and choose Clear All From the Category, then confirm your choice.
All items in the ignore list of the selected module are removed.
