CleanMyMac Business lets Owners and Admins monitor device compliance with predefined security settings across their Organization.

CleanMyMac Business tracks and reports the following security settings for each Mac:

  • Auto Login: Monitors whether automatic login is turned on. It's recommended to turn it off so the user logs in manually with their credentials each time the Mac starts.

  • FileVault: Tracks the state of FileVault, ensuring full disk encryption is enabled to protect data.

  • Guest Accounts: Monitors the presence of guest accounts. It's recommended to disable guest accounts to prevent temporary users from accessing the Mac.

  • Screen Lock Password: Reports whether a password is required to unlock the screen. It's recommended to turn this on for enhanced protection.

  • System Integrity Protection: Ensures this protection is active to prevent unauthorized modifications to system files.

  • Time Machine Backup: Tracks whether Time Machine backups are enabled. It's recommended to keep it turned on for data recovery.

  • Unreachable: Monitors whether a Mac is unable to communicate with the Admin Dashboard.

To get a quick overview of the security compliance in your Organization:

  1. Sign in to your Owner or Admin account in the Admin Dashboard.

  2. Check the Security Compliance widget to see how many devices are compliant and how many aren't, along with the last update date.

For more detailed information, click View Details in the widget to go to Security > Compliance, where you can see the compliance status for each security setting. Here, you'll find which settings are being monitored, how many devices are fully compliant, and which devices need attention.

To view details, click a device in the list of the non-compliant devices and review its security compliance.
