View apps installed on a device
(Updated: )As part of the device and app management within CleanMyMac Business, you can monitor all apps installed on a device enrolled in your Organization. This helps you keep track of the software environment for each device.
To view installed apps on a device:
Sign in to your Owner or Admin account in the Admin Dashboard, then go to Devices.
The list of all devices in your Organization opens.
Find the device you're interested in and click its entry.
The device page opens.
On the Applications tab, review the apps installed on the device.
Here, you can:
View basic and detailed app information
Search for apps: Enter at least three characters in the Search box to search by app name or bundle ID.
Filter apps: Filter by update status, usage status, security status, and installation source. Click Manage Filters next to the Search box, then select and apply filters.
Sort apps: Sort apps by name, installation date, last update date, or usage status. Click the respective column name to sort in ascending or descending order.
Basic app info
The app list displays basic information for each app installed on the device. By default, this includes:
App name (Name column)
App bundle ID (Bundle ID column)
Installed version (Version column)
Installation date (Installation Date column)
Security status: Authorized, Needs Review, or Unwanted (Security Status column)
Additionally, you can choose to view extra details, such as:
Last update date (Last Update Date column)
App update status: Up-to-date, Needs Update, or Unknown (Update Status column)
App usage frequency: Daily, Occasionally, or Rarely (Usage Status column)
Installation source: Mac App Store, Setapp, Direct Download, or System Application (Installation Source column)
Minimum required macOS version (Minimum OS Version column)
Vendor/developer name (Vendor/Developer column)
Click Customize on the upper right to select which details to show or hide.
Detailed app info
To view detailed information about an app, find it in the list and click its entry.
Here you can view the app name, installed version, security status, bundle ID, installation date, usage status, installation source, minimum required macOS version, vendor or developer name, full app size, app path, and short description of the app (if any).
