Connect email account

To start using Email Cleanup, you need to connect your email account to CleanMyMac. You can connect multiple accounts and then choose which mailbox to clean up.

1. In CleanMyMac, start connecting your email account either from My Tools or from Settings.

   1. Click My Tools in the sidebar.

   2. In Email Cleanup, click Connect Email.

      

      If you already have connected accounts, you can add another one: click the disclosure arrow, then choose Connect Email.

      

   1. Open CleanMyMac Settings.

   2. Go to the Email Cleanup tab.

   3. Click Connect Email Account.

      

2. In the dialog that opens, choose an email service you want to connect.

   

3. Review the connection details, then click Continue.

   

4. In the web browser that opens, sign in to your account and grant CleanMyMac permission to access your email.

5. After you connect your email account, CleanMyMac will show you a confirmation dialog:

   • Click "Scan [email]" to start scanning and cleanup right away.

   • Click Close (  ) to close the dialog and do email cleanup later.
