CleanMyMac follows your system language

By default, CleanMyMac uses the same language as your macOS does. If you choose another locale for your entire system, CleanMyMac will change language accordingly — of course, if it has the necessary translation.

If you need a guide on changing system language on your Mac, we recommend this article from Apple Support.

Change language for CleanMyMac only

This feature is available for macOS 10.15 Catalina and later. See Troubleshooting switching languages.

To use CleanMyMac with a language different from your system settings — for example, have CleanMyMac in Ukrainian while keeping your macOS in English — follow these steps.

1. Open System Settings.

To do that, click  in the top-left corner of your screen, then choose System Settings.

02. Click General in the sidebar, then click Language & Region.

03. Scroll down to the Applications section and click the plus (+) button.

04. In the Application menu, click the selector and choose CleanMyMac.

If you're using CleanMyMac from Setapp, scroll down and choose Other at the end of the menu. Then, select the Setapp folder and click CleanMyMac.

05. In the Language menu, choose the language you want.

6. Click Add.

If CleanMyMac is open, a prompt will appear asking to restart CleanMyMac. Click Relaunch Now to apply the change immediately, and CleanMyMac will reopen in the language of your choice.

macOS version limitations. Changing languages for individual apps is a feature which Apple has made available on macOS 10.15 Catalina and later. On older systems, CleanMyMac will always follow the system language. We’re sorry about that limitation.
