The Support Tool use cases

The Support Team may share the Support Tool with you after you report an issue with CleanMyMac. To save time and speed up the resolution process, you can also download and run the app before contacting us. You can then attach the generated problem report to your help request, so our Support Engineers have all they need to fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Here are some common cases in which our Support Engineers may ask you to use the Support Tool:

  • CleanMyMac quits unexpectedly

  • CleanMyMac stops responding

  • You believe CleanMyMac removed files you didn't intend to remove

  • CleanMyMac displays errors, such as removal or activation errors

  • A pop-up dialog asking you to install the helper tool keeps appearing even after you've entered your admin password
