One thing you can do is schedule regular cleanings. Go to the Scheduler tab in CleanMyMac 2’s Preferences and set how often you would like to get reminders about cleaning.
We recommend that you clean your Mac every 2 to 4 weeks. Or, if 2 to 4 weeks seems to be too much for you, you can set CleanMyMac 2 to notify you every 3, 6, or 12 months.
Another way to maintain your Mac is to enable CleanMyMac 2’s Trash Monitor. In Preferences, open the Monitoring tab and enable the Monitor Trash Size option. With this option enabled, once the size of Trash exceeds 3 GB, you will get a notification to empty it using CleanMyMac 2. However, if you would like to change this size limit, you can do this in the same tab.
Finally, if you often Trash applications, CleanMyMac 2 will automatically suggest that you correctly uninstall it using the Mac Uninstaller module. This option is enabled by default but can be disabled by going to Preferences > Monitoring.
