Assign device licenses

In CleanMyMac Business, a device license represents a "permission" for an Organization member to enroll their Mac computer—allowing them to install the desktop app, sign in to their account, and have the device monitored and maintained by Admins in the Dashboard.

As the Owner or an Admin, you can assign as many device licenses as needed (within the limit provided by your CleanMyMac Business plan), depending on how many Mac computers each member needs to enroll in your Organization.

To assign device licenses to members, sign in to your account in the Admin Dashboard, then go to Users and Licenses.

To assign device licenses to a single member:

  1. Find the member you want to assign licenses to, then do one of the following:

    • Click Options ( Options menu icon ) to the right of the member entry and choose Assign License.

    • Click the member entry to open their details, then click Assign License on the upper right.

    The Assign Licenses dialog opens.

  2. In the open dialog, select or enter the number of licenses to assign, then click Send Licenses.


The number of assigned device licenses is updated immediately. Members will receive a notification email with a link to download the CleanMyMac Business desktop app and enroll their Mac computers.
