For Organization Members
(Updated: )The Member role in CleanMyMac Business is designed for users in an Organization to enroll their devices, so they can be monitored and managed by Admins. This role provides limited access and permissions within an Organization. An Organization can have an unlimited number of Members, but the total number of devices Members can enroll for monitoring is limited by the number of device licenses available under your CleanMyMac Business subscription.
The Member role can be assigned when inviting a user to join the Organization or by changing a user's role later. Depending on the situation, your first steps as a Member may differ slightly—see Join as Member or From Admin to Member, respectively.
Join as Member
If you're not yet a user of a CleanMyMac Business Organization and you're invited as a Member, you'll receive an invitation email. Follow these steps:
Accept the invitation.
When you click Accept Invitation in the email, the sign-up page opens in a new browser tab.
Complete your account creation:
Enter your first and last name, and create a password for signing in.
Choose whether you consent to share your registration and usage data for analytics and receive personalized advice on Mac maintenance—you can change this later in your account settings.
Choose if you agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Notice, and Cookie Notice—this is mandatory to continue using CleanMyMac Business.
Click Continue to proceed to verification.
Confirm your sign-in.
A verification code is sent to your email each time you sign in to your account in the Dashboard.
Click Continue to go to the Welcome page.
On the Welcome page, download and install the CleanMyMac Business desktop app.
Also, here you can manage your account settings. For this, click Go to Settings.
In the desktop app, sign in to your newly created Member account.
That's it! You've successfully created your CleanMyMac Business account, joined your Organization as a Member, and enrolled your Mac.
The desktop app monitors the health of your Mac, disk space, malware protection, and more, and sends this data to the Admin Dashboard for Admins to monitor and take action if needed to keep your device healthy and your work uninterrupted. It also notifies you about the maintenance tasks that'll run automatically on schedule, or you can start them manually at will.
From Admin to Member
If you're already a user of a CleanMyMac Business Organization and your role changes from Admin to Member, you'll receive a notification email.
After this change, you'll lose access to the Admin Dashboard and can only use the desktop app. If you haven't done this yet, download and install the desktop app, and sign in to your Member account there to enroll your Mac in your Organization.
