Transfer Organization ownership

As the Owner, you can transfer your Organization's ownership to another user—whether they're a Member or an Admin. This changes their role to Owner and your role to Admin.

Note

This option isn't available if your trial period or subscription has expired.

To transfer ownership, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Owner account in the Admin Dashboard.

  2. Go to Users and Licenses.

  3. Find the user you want to transfer ownership to, then do one of the following:

    • Click Options ( The Options menu icon ) to the right of the user entry, then choose Change Role.

    • Click the user entry to open their details, then click Change Role in the upper-right corner.

    The Change Role dialog opens.

  4. In the dialog that opens, choose the Owner role from the dropdown list, then click Save Changes.

    The Transfer ownership dialog opens.

  5. In the dialog that opens, confirm the transfer and wait for the process to complete.

After the transfer, you'll become an Admin and the selected user will become the Owner. Both of you will receive an email confirming your role changes.
