Delete drafts

Email drafts can pile up over time — old unfinished messages you started and forgot, or sent emails that left stale drafts behind. The Drafts category in Email Cleanup surfaces them so you can review and permanently remove the ones you no longer need.

1. In CleanMyMac, click My Tools in the sidebar.

2. In Email Cleanup, click the disclosure arrow, choose your email account, then click Scan.

   If you haven't connected your email account yet, learn how to do it.

   

   The scan duration depends on your mailbox size.

3. If CleanMyMac finds items to review partway through, you can start right away — click Review Now, or wait for the scan to complete.

   

   When the scan is done, CleanMyMac opens the Email Cleanup Manager.

4. Choose the Drafts category on the left, browse and select drafts you want to remove, then click Remove to permanently delete the selected items.

   

5. In the dialog that appears, click Continue to confirm the action.

6. Review the results summary.

   • To explore the details, click View Log.

   • To return to the Email Cleanup Manager and continue deleting drafts, click Manage More Emails.

   • To return to My Tools, click Done.

     Note

     You can also disconnect your email account from here — select the checkbox before clicking Done.
