The best iPhone released in 2019: iPhone 11 Pro Max

Hands down, the best iPhone released in 2019 was the iPhone 11 Pro Max. While both the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max share a lot of the same features, there are a handful of specs that help the Max edge out its little brother.

Both phones have the triple camera and a Super Retina XDR display, but it’s the Pro Max’s larger 6.5-inch display that sets it apart. The Pro Max also has a better battery life, slated for 20 hours of watching videos.

The cheapest new iPhone: iPhone 11

By no means should the cheapest of the new iPhones be misinterpreted as the worst of them. The iPhone 11’s price tag is marked a full $300 cheaper than it’s Pro counterparts but is still a powerful smartphone.

Features-wise what separates this phone from the rest is that it has a dual camera instead of the triple and a liquid retina HD display. That being said, the display on the iPhone 11 is 6.1-inches which is actually bigger than the iPhone 11 Pro screen.

The best iPhone for photos: iPhone 11 Pro and Max

If the camera and taking photos with your iPhone is your main priority, then iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max is your best bet. They both have the Telephoto, Wide, and Ultra Wide lenses. Across the board, their camera specs are nearly identical. And they both tout Apple’s new Night Mode feature, which will drastically improve the pictures you take in low light conditions.

The only reason the iPhone 11 Pro Max might edge out the 11 Pro as the better phone is because of its larger 6.5-inch screen to view your pictures.

The best iPhone for the money: iPhone 11 Pro

When it comes to value, though, iPhone 11 Pro is going to be the model that gives you the most bang for your buck. You get nearly all the same specs and features as you would on iPhone 11 Pro Max, but at a lower price.

The iPhone 11 Pro serves as a nice middle ground between the other two models. If you want things like the triple camera but don’t need a massive screen, then the iPhone 11 Pro is going to be your best bet.

The best iPhone to get in terms of battery life: iPhone 11 Pro Max

As far as battery life goes, iPhone 11 Pro Max is the best you can get. In a very un-Apple move, the new iPhones are actually just a bit bigger and heavier in favor of a better battery. So instead of the usual quest to have the thinnest or lightest phone, you’ll get a phone battery that lasts quite a bit longer.

As we mentioned earlier in the article, the iPhone 11 Pro Max boasts 20 hours of video watching on one battery charge. Which is almost five times longer than what you get with the previous generation iPhone XS Max.

What’s the best time to buy an iPhone?

The best time to buy an iPhone is typically towards the end of the year. Apple will typically make an announcement and release models at the end of September or beginning of October. So that means if you buy an iPhone before January, you’re usually guaranteed at least nine months before a new line of iPhones comes out.

The new lineup of iPhones has a lot to offer — it just depends on what you’re hoping to do with your phone. Hopefully, after reading this article, making the decision will be a little bit easier for you. And if you're also considering earlier models, this iPhone 8 vs iPhone XR comparison might be helpful.
